- Release: 7.8-arm64-202512111
- Media: USB flashdrive
- Hardware: Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5x Gen 9 (CPU: Snapdragon Elite X, Memory: 32GB)
Remarks†
This is the first report on running FuguIta on a Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5x Gen 9 (32GB RAM) machine.
・Disable Windows BitLocker
・Turn off Secure Boot
・Extract FuguIta-7.8-arm64-202512111.img.gz from the /LiveSD/ folder
・Write FuguIta-7.8-arm64-202512111.img to a USB drive using Rufus
・Boot from the USB drive
Following the above steps, the kernel booted successfully. However, “Process(pid 1) got signal4” occurred, indicating compatibility with BTI (Intel IBT) is likely required.
#FuguIta
- A test version of #FuguIta-7.8-arm64 compatible with BTI has been uploaded to the test/arm64 directory on the mirror server. Please try it out. -- kaw
- #FuguIta-7.8-arm64-202601031.img boots and displays the login prompt, but immediately shuts down. acpitz{28-30} frequently outputs “critical temperature exceeded 0C, shutting down”, which may be the cause. -- karl
- Since this appears to be an issue related to OpenBSD itself rather than #FuguIta, I think it would be appropriate to reproduce the problem on a plain OpenBSD system and report it to the OpenBSD @bugs or @misc mailing list.
The important point is to make the report based on a plain OpenBSD system.
They will likely reject a report based on observations made on FuguIta as not being valid. -- kaw
